A nursing charity which delivers end-of-life care is asking Moray people to support its main annual fundraising event next month.

Marie Curie is calling on local residents to back its Great Daffodil Appeal.

Ashley Thomson, head of community fundraising, stated that one in four people don’t get the care they need as they near the end of their lives.

She said: "The Great Daffodil Appeal is now in its 38th year.

"It's a brilliant and fun way to join in and give back.

"It's also helping us to provide a vital service to those in the final chapter of their lives."

Marie Curie cares for people with any illness which they are likely to die from.

This includes Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, as well as heart, liver, kidney and lung disease, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s and advanced cancer.

The Great Daffodil Appeal encourages people to donate and wear a daffodil.

The event's headline partner is Superdrug.
