Everything’s coming up roses for Lossiemouth Flower and Produce Show which will make its grand return later this month.

The show had to be cancelled last year due to organisational difficulties, finding a venue and a club president.

However, secretary Frances Reddy promised the show would return in 2023 'bigger and better'.

“This is the first time we have staged the show since pre-Covid and we really want to make it a success,” she said.

“That success will depend on numbers exhibiting and numbers visiting, so please come along on the day and support your local show.

“There’s no need to know your onions but it does help!”

This year there will be hundreds of categories, for fruit, vegetables, flowers, crafts, baking and artwork.

Individual categories are listed on the show’s Facebook page Lossiemouth Flower Show Society or in leaflets located in business throughout Lossie.

The show organisers would love to see more entries from children. Suitable categories include miniature gardens, fresh flower arrangements, and animals made from fruits and vegetables.

If this sounds blooming marvellous then visit the Lossiemouth Town Hall on Saturday, September 16. Doors open at 1pm, entry is £1 and teas and coffees will be available to buy.

Trophies from previous years can be dropped off at Simply Red beauty salon in Lossiemouth, 29a Queen Street, IV31 6PR. A box is located outside the door.
