ELGIN Modelfair is set to take place at the town hall across this weekend.

Elgin Model Railway Club's annual event will take place on Saturday, November 5, from 10am until 5pm, and Sunday, November 6, from 10am until 4pm.

This year's event will be a return to normal, after last year's slimmed-down post-pandemic comeback.

There will be 59 exhibits on display from a number of clubs for people of all ages to enjoy.

Modelfair co-ordinator Duncan Macrae said: "It all begins with sending out invitations in April and it is continuous work.

"But it will without a doubt be worth the effort to see families going round on the day and seeing the excitement of the children.

"We usually fill every room in the town hall and this year is no different. All available space is taken up so we've had a good response from a good variety of exhibitors.

"A lot of clubs create new and original displays for the show and there's a mixture of clubs and individuals displaying models.

"We are looking forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors to the fair once again."

There is no pre-sale for tickets, with availability on the door across the weekend.

An adult ticket is £7, seniors are £6 and children are £4. Under 5s go for free, while family tickets are £18.

Refreshments, including tea, coffee and light bites, will be available throughout the day.
