AN EXCLUSIVE experience at The Macallan is up for grabs in a cancer charity's online auction.

The experience, worth £3,000, is the star item in CLAN Cancer Support's fundraising charity auction launched on Wednesday, November 18, which will run until December 6.

More than 100 items are up for auction.

CLAN’s head of income generation and business development, Fiona Fernie, said: "We have a fantastic array of items to suit everyone and what better way to start your Christmas shopping while helping to support a local charity?

"Our star item is an experience for four people at The Macallan Estate where you will be treated to an exclusive, behind-the-scenes tour, including lunch with paired wines as well as a very special tasting of some of their finest whiskies."

CLAN has supported communities throughout the north-east for more than 37 years and continues to help people through the pandemic. Since March it has provided upwards of 3,500 support sessions, 620 professional counselling sessions and 2,000 support calls for people affected by a cancer diagnosis.

Fiona added: "Our wellbeing centres, CLAN Haven, transport and telephone support services continue to be there for people affected by a cancer diagnosis across the north of Scotland.

"This year has been challenging for us all, but especially for those facing a cancer diagnosis. Imagine being isolated from loved ones while shielding, receiving a cancer diagnosis over the phone during lockdown or the additional complications of getting treatment during the pandemic.

"Our support is more vital than ever, and by supporting events like our online auction, you will allow us to be here for people facing a cancer diagnosis now and in the years to come."
