THE festive season in Cullen is set to burst into life when the town's Christmas lights are switched on.
An evening of entertainment for all the family is on the cards before the lights displays are brought into dazzling life on Thursday, November 30.
Cullen Christmas Lights Committee (CCLC) chairman David Paterson said: "We are going back to holding the pre-switch-on entertainment and stalls from 5.30pm in the town hall which is now the Seafield Arms Grand Ballroom.
"The stalls will be drawn from a range of local groups, including the CCLC. Cullen Primary School Singing Group will entertain us from 7pm.
"We will have a piper or pipers entertaining us in the square from approximately 7.10pm until we have the countdown for the light switch-on at 7.30pm. This year a pupil from Cullen Primary will do the honours and switch the lights on.
"The improvements to the lighting on the viaduct should ensure that they are looking even better this year."
In addition, there will be seasonal music playing in the square over the PA system from 5.30pm.
There will be a special treat for younger kids in Cullen on Christmas Eve. A sleigh, which has been lovingly restored, will be going round the town during which Santa and Mrs Claus will be handing out small gifts to primary school-aged children and younger.
There will be a number of designated stops which will be advertised nearer the time.
