Elgin Strathspey and Reel Society to stage annual Scots Fiddle Festival

THE 52nd Elgin Strathspey and Reel Society annual Festival of Scots Fiddle Music takes place later this month.

It will again be held in the Williamson Hall in Duff Avenue on Saturday, April 27 from 9am.

The adjudicator will be Raemond Jappy.

Entries for performance classes have to be emailed to secretary Louise McLean by Monday, April 22 at louisemclean56@gmail.com

An orchestral competition and concert will take place at 7pm on Saturday, April 27 at 7pm in Elgin Parish Church (formerly known as St Columba’s South Church). Tickets are available

from members of The Elgin Strathspey and Reel Society and at Cathedral Windows, Elgin.

“We would also like to thank Maureen Rutherford and Neil Copland for donating the Rutherford and Strathisla Shields in memory of Walter.”
