Findhorn musician Daddy Funk showcases Moray in latest music video

A LOCAL musician and recording artist has showcased his Moray home in his recently released music video.
Simon Greenhill, also known by his stage name Daddy Funk released the video for his latest track Fear of Success which features views across a glen in Moray near Findhorn.
The video was created in collaboration with young up-and-coming film-maker Owen Windsor, who lives near Forres.
Simon, who celebrates his 30th anniversary as a professional drum teacher this year, has released four albums, with an EP called Sun & Heir ’88 set to be released on June 9. There are also new tracks to be recorded in Moray soon.
The musician, who is originally from London, began his performing career as a child actor in London’s West End before going on to tour and record in bands during the ’90s and 2000s. His music led him to TV and radio performances and his expertise in drumming brought about endorsements from Istanbul Agop cymbals, Los Cabos drumsticks and Yamaha drums.
He currently teaches drum students from across the UK online and in person from his Moray home and is available for drum master-classes and workshops.
Although the musician loves his London roots, and has also lived in New York, it was a special bond with Scotland that brought him north of the border. He said: "I’m half Scottish on my mother’s side but it was after two separate holidays to Nethybridge that I realised how much I loved it up here and decided to make it my permanent home in 2017.
He added: "I moved to Moray, specifically, for the pace of life and clean air. It’s so beautiful and I feel really close to nature. Creatively, I find northern Scotland really inspiring."
