A FINDHORN venue will host an immersive performance party this weekend.

Looping: Scotland Overdub is a late-night dance, party, and politics experience which will play out at the Universal Hall on Saturday.

The performance is led by members of Scottish Dance Theatre and embraces ceilidh dancing and Brazilian street festival vibes.

It features text produced in collaboration with acclaimed writer Kieran Hurley, set to an electronic dance score performed live by Torben Lars Sylvest.

The show is unusual in that members of the audience are invited to participate in the dance – or just observe if they prefer.

All ages, genders and abilities are welcome. Those with accessibility needs are asked to let the Universal Hall know in advance on 01309 691170.

There is an associated workshop earlier in the day with details on the website, where ticket information is available.

Next Wednesday, Scottish folk group Old Blind Dogs - made up of Jonny Hardie (fiddle/vocals), Aaron Jones (guitar/bouzouki/vocals), Ali Hutton (pipes) and Donald Hay (percussion) - will perform at the venue.
