THE Universal Hall at Findhorn has cancelled all shows and films at the venue until the end of April as a precaution against coronavirus.

The arts venue's promotions team will review the situation nearer then for announcements about May.

Ticket-holders seeking refunds for March and April should go to the universalhall.co.uk website.

Venue spokesman David Till advised people who have tickets for May events and beyond to hang on to them for now.

Mr Till said: "We obviously would like the events to go ahead but don’t yet have enough information to be clear about when the hall will reopen.

"Please be assured that if an event is cancelled you will get a full refund. No tickets are available in the Phoenix Stores at present but tickets for most post-April gigs are still online via our website.

"Financially we can survive for a while and are not likely to go out of business in the short term. So we are keen to provide culture and entertainment – and no doubt we'll all be very ready for it – when the threat of the virus starts to lift."
