Firefighters extinguish car blaze in Elgin

FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Kingsmills area of Elgin this afternoon after a car went on fire.

The blaze broke out at Newmill Road just after lunchtime and was brought under control around 2pm.

One appliance from Elgin was at the scene and the police were also in attendance.

A cordon was thrown around the area while the blaze was extinguished and the burnt-out Fiat Punto was removed just before 3pm.
