KLM Amsterdam fight KL923 to Inverness had to be redirected due to technical issue

Today's flight to Inverness from Amsterdam had to be redirected due to a technical problem.

The plane took off from Schiphol Airport at 11.25am and was only 150 miles from its destination when it was re-routed back to the Netherlands.

A KLM Royal Dutch Airlines spokeswoman said: "Flight KL 923 to Inverness returned to Schiphol Airport due to a technical problem.

"The passengers and crew have not been in danger.

"The passengers could resume their journey on another aircraft that took off at 2.21pm and have now arrived in Inverness."
