Flowers laid for murdered woman (32) outside home in Elgin

FLOWERS have started to be laid close to the scene of a murder in Elgin.

Police remain at the scene at Anderson Drive in New Elgin.

The horror unfolded around 7.20pm on Thursday, November 16 when a 32-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

She is understood to be mum of two Kiesha Donaghy.

Detectives were seen entering the property earlier this afternoon.

A murder investigation was launched following a post mortem examination and the police have asked local residents to come forward if they have any information.

Local councillor John Divers said: "It is a dreadful situation and terrible to happen to someone so young.

"I only stay two minutes away from the scene. I knew the woman to see her.

"It is a total shock and the immediate neighbours will be concerned about the whole thing.

"Hopefully the police will get a positive outcome to their enquiry".
