Temporary traffic lights will be in place during the works.

Amey, which is carrying out the resurfacing, says the work will take place at East Road between Moycroft Road and Reiket Lane.

It is scheduled to be completed by Wednesday December 20.

Work will occur between 7pm to 6am each night from Monday to Friday, with any noisier elements scheduled to be completed by 11pm.

The work will be undertaken using temporary overnight traffic lights which will be situated throughout the work area at various times according to where resurfacing on the footpath occurs.

Amey says the resurfacing is part of a range of improvements being made on the A96 in Elgin to help encourage more users to walk, wheel and cycle for shorter everyday trips.
