Forensics team at the scene of 58-year-old's death at Elgin Bus Station as floral tributes are paid

A FORENSICS team has arrived on the scene after the death of a 58-year-old man at Elgin Bus Station on Friday night.

Police confirmed this morning that a 15-year-old male was arrested after a man was assaulted at the bus station shortly before 11pm. The victim later died at Dr Gray's Hospital.

Enquiries into the incident are continuing. Elgin Bus Station remains cordoned off, with a forensics team having arrived on the scene at around 2pm.

A police van, a police car and three officers are at the station, where Stagecoach also have staff members giving advice to passengers. All bus services remain cancelled.

Meanwhile, members of the public have been laying bouquets of flowers at the scene in memory of the man who died.
