YOUNGSTERS from Forres Brownie and Rainbow units enjoyed a recent day out in Lossiemouth.
2nd Forres Brownies and 2nd Forres Rainbows had a busy weekend at Lossie Guide Hut for a Christmas craft weekend.
Around a dozen Brownies had a sleepover on the Friday night, before decorating Christmas cakes, as well as festive gifts, decorations and cards on the Saturday.
On Sunday, the majority of Forres Rainbows' 20-strong group got involved.
The girls made reindeer hot chocolate cones, Christmas gnomes, snowman Christmas cards and lanterns, penguin baubles, snowman handwash, piggy banks, Christmas angels and wreaths.
Christmas tree and melting snowman biscuits were made, along with Christmas cake – decorated with Christmas trees and holly.
Assistant Brownie unit leader Merlys King said: "We do this every year because it's difficult in meetings to get nice things done when you have an hour.
"So we hire a hall and take the children for a full day and do all our Christmas crafts.
"For the Rainbows, melting snowman biscuits were a favourite – that was lovely and messy! The girls loved the way they turned out.
"The Brownies loved the Christmas wreaths and making their Christmas cakes."
Meanwhile, more than 750 girls from right across Moray were at the cinema watching Matilda at The Playhouse in Elgin in mid-December.
Volunteers and new girls are always welcome at both units.
