Four appliances and height vehicle called to overnight fire on North Street in Elgin

TWO properties have been badly damaged after an overnight fire in Elgin.
A fire that started in the area where the bins are located spread to the homes at the end of North Street, in Bishopmill.
Four fire appliances and a height vehicle were called to the scene at around 1.30am, with the fire taken under control.
Nobody was injured in the blaze. The road was closed until around 7am, and a cordon remains around the affected properties.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.32am on Wednesday, October 26, to reports of a fire within the refuse waste area of a property on North Street, Elgin.
"Operations Control mobilised four appliances and a height vehicle to the scene, where firefighters extinguished the fire. There were no reported casualties."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called at around 1.40am on Wednesday, October 26, to a report of a fire in North Street, Elgin.
"The fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and there were no reported injuries.
“The road was closed and re-opened around 7am.”
