Four-vehicle crash on A96 between Elgin and Forres

FOUR vehicles have been involved in a crash on the A96 between Elgin and Forres.

The incident took place at the turn-off towards Newton and Burghead just before 5pm today (Wednesday, November 22).

Police are reporting that nobody has been injured in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50pm on Wednesday, November 22, we received a report of a crash involving four vehicles on the A96, near Elgin.

“There are no reported injuries. The road was closed for a short time to allow for recovery, and has since fully re-opened.”

Traffic is still travelling slower than usual in both directions.
