MORAY pupils studying Higher maths can multiply their chances of a pass with some extra tuition – free of charge.

School pupils are being offered revision support at Moray College UHI on Friday afternoons between 2.30-4.30pm, after the school bell sounds.

The classes will run at the Elgin campus, starting from this Friday, November 8.

Open to all pupils living in Moray, the classes aim to support young people studying Higher maths by looking through, understanding, discussing and completing exam and exam-style questions.

They will also cover techniques on how to answer a range of questions and will outline what the SQA marking schemes are looking for. The classes will be supported by online worksheets.

Jackie Andrews, head of academic partnerships at Moray College UHI, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for young people to use Friday afternoons to support their maths learning.

"We hope that by providing this additional resource, young people across the region will be able to further their knowledge and develop techniques to allow them to gain the best exam results possible."
