MORAY over-55s are being invited to get into the festive spirit at free Christmas craft and cake-decorating workshops.
The First Time for Everything programme gives people opportunities to try something new, for free, in their local community to stay active and social.
The festivities begin with Christmas tree decoration making at Duffus Village Hall, on Wednesday, December 8, at 2pm.
Local artist Lynne Strachan, from Curious Cranberry, will lead the workshop. All materials and instructions will be provided.
A Christmas cake decorating workshop will then run at Burghead Community Hall, on Saturday, December 11, at 10am.
Local celebration cake maker Mandie Cooper will demonstrate how to model Christmas trees, snowmen, reindeer and penguins from fondant, and share some piping skills.
Light refreshments will be available at both events.
Booking for the workshops is essential as places are limited.
To register for a place, contact Sharon Finlay, Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) activity co-ordinator, on 07974 415713, or email sharon.finlay@royalvoluntaryservice.org.uk.
