MORAY over-55s are being invited to get into the festive spirit at free Christmas craft and cake-decorating workshops.

The First Time for Everything programme gives people opportunities to try something new, for free, in their local community to stay active and social.

The festivities begin with Christmas tree decoration making at Duffus Village Hall, on Wednesday, December 8, at 2pm.

Local artist Lynne Strachan, from Curious Cranberry, will lead the workshop. All materials and instructions will be provided.

A Christmas cake decorating workshop will then run at Burghead Community Hall, on Saturday, December 11, at 10am.
