PREPARATIONS are well under way for Elgin Rotary's annual fireworks display in Cooper Park.

The event on Saturday, November 4, will start at 6.30pm with the lighting of the bonfire, followed by the display at 7pm.

As in previous years, Out of the Darkness Theatre Group will be making the Guy for the top of the bonfire.

Margaret Stenton from Rotary Elgin said: "This annual event is designed to bring the community together for an unforgettable evening of excitement and entertainment.

"Our bonfire has been a staple in Elgin for years, and we are doing all we can to make this year's event the best one yet.

"As always, entry is free however we are very grateful to all those who come along and support our fundraising efforts with their generous donations.

"Without this ongoing support we would be unable to continue to organise this event. We are also grateful to many local companies who give their time and support in kind to ensure a safe enjoyable night can be had by all."
