PURPLE will be the theme for a fundraising afternoon tea taking place in Cullen this week.
The Royal Oak Hotel is hosting the celebration this Friday for CLAN Cancer Support as the north east charity marks its 35th anniversary.
Local people are invited along to the Go Purple event, which will run from 1-4pm and includes home baking and a raffle to raise funds for CLAN.
It is one of a number of events taking place across the region from September 22-28 as the charity celebrates the milestone.
Tracy Sellar, CLAN services area manager, said: "We are delighted to invite the people of Moray and surrounding areas to come and celebrate our birthday. We will have some lovely home bakes on offer, as well as tea and coffee.
"CLAN offers support for anyone who is affected by cancer, whether that be someone who has a cancer diagnosis, or their friends or family members. We provide emotional and practical support, and wellbeing services to help people cope with the effects of a serious illness.
"We encourage everyone to come along to our birthday event at the Royal Oak to help support our work and see for themselves the services we have on offer."
Tickets for the open afternoon are £3 each, available at the Royal Oak.
CLAN Cancer Support works across the whole of north-east Scotland and has a centre on Elgin’s High Street and provides support service in Buckie, Forres and Lossiemouth. As well as craft groups and coffee mornings, CLAN Elgin hosts ladies’ and men’s support groups, along with relaxation and mindfulness sessions.
