Grampian coronavirus cases up to 394

THE number of people testing positive for coronavirus in Grampian stands at 394 today – a rise of 37 cases from yesterday.

Some 837 patients who have tested positive have now died throughout Scotland.

There are 85 people in hospital in the NHS Grampian area with suspected or confirmed coronavirus, with 15 receiving intensive care.

Throughout Scotland a total of 36,637 people have now been tested, with 7,409 positive cases.

The Scottish Government figures update recorded that 42 per cent of adult care homes had lodged at least one notification for suspected COVID-19 to the Care Inspectorate as of yesterday, April 16.

As of April 15, a total of 7,652 staff, or around 4.6 per cent of the NHS workforce, reported as absent due to a range of reasons related to COVID-19.
