A KNUCKLEDUSTER was found when an Elgin man was caught driving while disqualified.
And, at Elgin Sheriff Court Thursday, January 4, the 35-year-old pleaded guilty to all charges against him.
On July 10, 2023, Pawel Pieronkiewicz was stopped by police at Newton, on the B9103 road to Burghead.
He was found to have been driving while disqualified, as well as having the knuckleduster.
Sheriff David Harvie deferred sentencing of the driver, who lives at Covesea Road, for the preparation of a report and again disqualified him from driving until the next hearing.
Procurator Fiscal Sharon Ralph's call for forfeiture of the knuckleduster was accepted.
“It is in your interests to cooperate with the preparation of reports," Sheriff Harvie said.
“In respect of these matters – as of now – you must not drive a motor vehicle.
“Is that understood?”
Pieronkiewicz replied: "Yes."
The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to the three charges he was faced with: driving while disqualified; possession of an offensive weapon; and driving without valid insurance.
His case will call again, for sentencing, on Thursday, February 1.
