Wildlife in Moray: Hare coursing call from Police Scotland

Police Scotland is calling on the public to look out for – and report – incidences of hare coursing.

Rather than a 'sport', the force is labelling it a "brutal crime".

A spokesperson said: "Hares are hunted using dogs, causing a cruel and painful death and damaging rural environments and economies.

"If you see something suspicious, do not approach.

"Take a note of vehicle registrations and exact locations and report to us on 101 or 999 in an emergency."
