Pastor Wilfred Masih, of Elgin Seventh-day Adventist Church, helps run Moray Interfaith and is pleased that Lisa Kerr, depute lieutenant for Moray, will be in attendance.

He said the day is to remember victims of genocide globally. All are welcome to attend the public event.

"The service is in memory of individuals around the world who have died due to genocide," he said.

"It's not just the Holocaust, but there are lots of countries involved – Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rwanda, Cambodia... wherever there has been a genocide or persecution.

"All are welcome to attend the service."
