PUPILS at a Moray school have launched their own monthly community café.

The Bite and Blether at Hopeman Primary was an instant hit with local families and friends when it opened its doors for the first time on January 30.

P6 pupils hosted the inaugural event, serving up good food and lots of conversation to guests.

Classes will now take turns to run the café, which takes place on the last Thursday of the month from 2pm.

It has been set up to enable the children to demonstrate their cooking prowess, enhance their talking and listening skills while forging links with the community.

Pupils will prepare and serve one or two healthy treats for each Bite and Blether opening.
