David England began creating calendars with his photographs of the village four years ago, with the profits from each calendar being donated to community causes.

David said: "Each year I raise about £1400, and this is the fourth time I've done it, so that's nearly £6000 I've raised for local causes.

"In previous years, I have given donations to the Scouts and Brownies, senior citizens and Moray Food Bank."

David already has another calendar planned for next year and was delighted to give the money to Hopeman Primary School to help them develop an outdoor learning space an buy some new playground equipment.

Hopeman Primary Head Teacher Georgina Young said: "We are very grateful to Mr England for his generous donation which will go towards funding new outdoor play equipment and the development of the Primary 1 outdoor learning space. Work has begun in the playground with the support of the Moray Unpaid Work team. Our Playground Committee have been busy gathering views of all pupils and are now deciding what equipment to buy.

"The children are very excited and are looking forward to using the new space and equipment soon."
