The Golf View Hotel in Nairn is set to spend £850,000 on upgrading its spa facilities.

The popular destination will have its number of therapy suites doubled.

It will also see the addition of Scotland’s first ‘stone bath’ steam room alongside a Himalayan salt therapy room.

Carolyn Carrington, the venue's manager, said: "We’re very much looking forward to starting work – and even more so to showing off the results."

The spa and leisure club will be closed between January 3 and March 25.

However the hotel and restaurant with remain open throughout.

The renovation is part of a wider £4.5million programme by the Crerar Hotel Group across three of its venues.

Work will also take place at the Loch Fyne Hotel in Argyll and Bute, plus the Deeside Inn at Ballater.
