'I will remember The Queen fondly', says Moray Council leader Kathleen Robertson

THE leader of Moray Council has said she was "deeply saddened" when she heard that The Queen had passed away.
Councillor Kathleen Robertson, from Forres, was heavily involved in the organisation of Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the town in June when people came out in force to celebrate Her Majesty's 70 years on the throne.
Events included a ceremony outside the Tolbooth, Toun Mercat and a family picnic and activities in Grant Park.
Said Cllr Robertson: "Queen Elizabeth II served the nation with dignity and decorum and was a steadfast influence to so many.
"She has been the monarch for the entirety of my life until now.
"I remember as a school child her silver jubilee and most recently enjoyed organising the Forres events for the Platinum.
"I was fortunate to be in her company a number of years ago at the Palace of Holyrood.
And she added: "I will certainly remember her fondly and my thoughts are with her family."
