Indoor bowling taster session for over 55's at Forres Community Centre
PEOPLE aged over 55 in Moray are being invited to give indoor bowling a try at a free taster session in Forres.
The session, which will take place on Monday, January 16 at 1.30pm, is part of First Time For Everything, a programme designed by Royal Voluntary Service to support physical and mental wellbeing.
First Time For Everything aims to give over 55s the chance to try something new for free in their local community.
Coaches from Forres House Indoor Bowling team will be on hand at the session to teach basic bowling techniques.
Light refreshments will be available afterwards, courtesy of the community centre’s in-house café. Comfortable clothing is recommended and soft shoes are required.
Laura Chow, head of charities at People’s Postcode Lottery, said: “It’s never too late to try something new and to have fun trying.
"First Time for Everything activities are a safe, gentle and enjoyable way to be active and social, which are vital to our health and wellbeing.
"Thanks to players of People’s Postcode Lottery, local people will be able to enjoy a wide range of interesting activities this year.”
