AN INTERNET radio station is looking to give a helping hand to unsigned musicians from Moray during the coronavirus pandemic.

East Renfrew Music (ERM) Radio is aiming to provide a platform for unsigned artists to showcase their work in a weekly broadcast on mixlr.com, on a Sunday between 8pm and 9pm.

One Moray artist, Chris Grant from Craigellachie, is already featuring weekly on the programme, alongside artists from right across the United Kingdom.

Given the current lack of opportunities for aspiring musicians and bands to perform in front of live audiences, ERM Radio is attempting to create a wide audience for musicians to get their work out there.

A chat function on the broadcasts allows listeners and musicians to network and discuss their work, as well as the songs being played.

It is free to sign up and listen to ERM Radio on mixl.com and there is also a mixlr app free to download for your smartphone.

More information can be found at the station’s Facebook page – ERM Radio.

Any unsigned artists interested in presenting their work to a new audience should contact johnnyhinnie@icloud.com or send a message to John Hinnie on messenger for more details.
