A JAZZ duo from Edinburgh are coming north to play a fundraiser at Dyke Village Hall in December.

Ian Millar and Dominic Spencer are taking their blend of melodic jazz and original compositions to rural communities across the UK – and are stopping at Dyke on Friday, December 8.

The duo use programmable lighting and bottle lights to create an intimate atmosphere for the music.

They tell stories of their travels in their tour bus – an old converted Yorkshire ambulance – during an entertaining evening of creative music.

Dominic Spencer said: "We play accessible, melodic jazz and tell amusing stories about some our touring experiences from the places we have played and visited.

"We usually set the hall out in a cabaret style with low lighting and tea light candles on the tables, to create an intimate concert setting.

"We don't have funding so we rely on good will and volunteers at the village hall to make these concerts possible."
