KEITH'S Friendly Fest has secured a 1990s Eurodance sensation as top of the bill in its third year.

The chart-topping Italian Eurodance stars, Livin’ Joy, will headline the festival at Kynoch Park on Saturday, May 2.

Livin' Joy are known best for one of the hottest hits of 1994 – UK number one smash Dreamer.

They will perform their top singles when they play Moray, including other successes Don’t Stop Movin' and Follow the Rules.

In an entirely different musical vein, an Ocean Colour Scene tribute band, Ocean Colour Scheme, feature in the line-up. Organiser Russell Aitchison said: "The band’s uncanny likeness to the real thing is unbelievable and must be seen to be believed."

A Northern Soul will pay tribute to The Verve and Richard Ashcroft in their set and Scotland’s number one Spice Girls tribute, Spiceworld, is likely to be a crowd-pleaser.

Local acts and DJs will be announced in the coming weeks.

Mr Aitchison said: "We are very excited to be bringing another huge name to Keith and Moray for this year’s festival.

"This year we’ve managed to book a chart-topping pop group, which is great for the area. Everyone remembers Livin’ Joy’s massive hits Dreamer and Don’t Stop Movin’ – but they also had lots of other singles as well. Their show will be a real trip down memory lane and I’m sure the main stage will be rocking when they perform.

"We have secured our biggest line-up yet with an array of music styles to suit everyone’s taste, along with some nostalgia thrown in as well."

Tickets for Friendly Fest go on sale from 8am tomorrow, Wednesday, February 5, at www.skiddle.com/festivals/friendly-fest/.
