PIANIST and composer Euan Stevenson is bringing an intimate night of jazz to Elgin this summer.

The award-winning musician will perform at the Mansefield Hotel on July 18.

A pianist steeped in the jazz piano tradition but adept at playing in a variety of styles, Stevenson has found himself in demand throughout the UK and internationally.

Highlights from the last decade include performances at the London Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott's Jazz club, performing at the Southbank Centre in London to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Radio 3 and performing at the Glasgow Royal Concert Halls at Celtic Connections in 2018.

Behind the event is Forte Productions, the company behind the popular Let It Snow concerts.

Artistic director Ryan MacKenzie, who is originally from Buckie, said: "Moray told us they wanted more jazz. They loved Let it Snow last year, so we are bringing them the best jazz the UK has to offer.

"Euan is one of my favourite musicians and I'm delighted he's coming up to Elgin.

"This special one-off event will give you the chance to get up close to one of the UK’s leading jazz performers."

Visit Forte Productions for tickets, which can also be purchased from Cathedral Windows at 225 High Street, Elgin.
