checked out her last book.

Sandra Stewart retired after nearly 40 years with the Moray Library Service.

The Lossiemouth Library staff member had been key to the success of the local library in recent years.

She was fully involved in all aspects of library work, including working with children and running the popular ‘Rhyme Time sessions’.

In recent years she has also assisted the community librarian in the organisation of the Lossiemouth Library Heritage Group (formerly Scots Language group) and the Books on Wheels library service to older people in their homes.

Having joined the library service in 1973, she had worked in a number of libraries, including Elgin Library both when it was in Grant Lodge and in its subsequent premises.
