BUCKIE'S RNLI lifeboat was called out earlier today to aid in the search for a missing man.
The William Blannin and her volunteer crew put to sea at 10.30am following a request from the UK Coastguard to join a multi-agency search for a missing person in the Cullen area.
With nothing found, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to her berth at 12.30pm.
The search continues for Alan Murray, who was last seen around 11.30pm on Saturday, February 26 in the Seatown area of the town. The 54-year-old has not been seen or in contact with anyone since this time and concern is growing for his welfare.
Sergeant Kate Costin of Elgin Police Station said: “It is out of character for Alan not to be in contact with his family and we are growing increasingly concerned for him.
“I would urge anyone who believes they may have seen him at any time since Saturday night or who has any other information to come forward.
“We would also urge people who live around the Grant Street area in Cullen to review any private CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage you may have. I would also ask anyone who has a shed or outbuilding where someone could seek shelter to check this."
Alan is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, stocky build with fair hair. He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt with an orange snood and jeans.
