Christmas returns with Buckie Kracker and Elgin BID lights switch-on

CHRISTMAS spirit will return to the centre of Elgin and Buckie today.

The towns will switch on their festive lights, with public events for the first time since 2019 due to the pandemic.

The entertainment gets underway in Buckie and Elgin from 10am for the Christmas Kracker and Elgin BID Christmas celebration respectively.

Santa and his reindeer will be the centre of attention in Elgin from 2pm and there is a Santa's post office throughout the day day from 10am-4pm.

There is a festive market throughout the day and entertainment on the Plainstones.

The lights will be switched on at 4.15pm.

The Kracker in the square in Buckie will also have a Christmas market, funfair, Santa's Run and the lights will be illuminated from 4pm.
