A TRIO of Moray women have raised £1740 for charity by creating and sharing home-made exercise videos.

Dot Bremner, of Dancercise with Dot, was joined by Ann Hay and Phyllis Campbell of Moray BALL Groups in the online videos, which have raised cash for North East Sensory Services.

The trio – who nicknamed themselves the Three Generations – created and posted a video a day throughout November to raise money for NESS, while keeping themselves and viewers active.

Dot said: "We aimed for £1000 with fingers crossed so this is great.

"We hope we made folk smile and helped to keep them active during lockdown.

"Once lockdown restrictions are eased we hope to make more videos in the back garden.

"Our next project aims to cover a century of dance from Black Bottom in 1920s to Swish & Baby Shark in 21st century."

Overall, Moray BALL Groups and SET Groups have now helped to raise £7030 over the last four years for NESS through Dancercise.

Graham Findlay, CEO of NESS, said: “We are truly amazed and humbled at the generosity of Dot and her friends in supporting our vital, life-changing services. They have really gone the extra mile.

"We are over the moon with the fundraising and also with their efforts in highlighting the valuable work that NESS does for more than 6000 blind and deaf people across the north east of Scotland.

"Dot’s fundraising money will go towards the ongoing support of our ‘added value’ charitable services which includes support for people of all ages living with a serious sensory loss."
