A Moray business is 'very proud' to have received a prestigious award for its sustainability practices.

Windswept Brewing Co received the sustainability award at the recent Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards 2023, which saw them beat other businesses in the same category.

Based in Lossiemouth the craft beer brewery has been on a mission to ensure that it is reducing its impact on the environment by working as a team.

Nigel Tiddy, managing director at Windswept Brewing Co, said: "We are very proud to have received the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards sustainability award.

"Minimising our impact on the environment has always been at the forefront of what we do at Windswept Brewing Co and the last 18 months have seen some great steps forward in our understanding of how we can minimise our environmental impact.

"This has been a whole team effort with engagement and innovation coming from all parts of the brewery. With over 50 per cent of business energy use in the UK coming from micro to medium sized businesses it is vital that we play our part in reducing our overall impact on the environment, however small an impact we think that may be."
