LOSSIEMOUTH charity Bike Revolution is asking people with old bicycles to consider donating them.

The charity, which services and repairs bikes, is particularly low on bicycles suitable for children, including those with additional support needs (ASN).

Bikes for those with ASN will be used as part of the 'Bikeability' course, which teachers youngsters how to cycle.

A Facebook post from Bike Revolution said: "We believe Bikeability should be available to everyone and the Outfit Moray Bikeability team regularly works school ASN departments to make sure as many pupils as possible get to take part in the programme.

"With up to six ASN departments a week, there are not always enough adaptive bikes to go round, so we are hoping for some donations.

"If you have an adaptive bike that your child or young adult has grown out of, we would be very grateful if you would consider donating it and helping us make a difference to the lives of young people in Moray."

Outfit Moray, Bike Revolution's partner charity, added: "If you have kids bikes getting in your way and rusting, why, not donate them to Bike Revolution and let them breathe new life into them.

"You could be helping another child start their cycling adventures."

Bike Revolution is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

You don't need to book a slot and out of honours donations can be accepted if required.
