LOSSIEMOUTH Community Council has reached out to help identify people in need.
The group is distributing thousands of leaflets around the town with the help of retained firefighters and other volunteers.
In the leaflet, it urges residents to help others who are more vulnerable.
"The Lossiemouth Community Council understands that this is a frightening and stressful time for all of us in Lossiemouth," it says.
"It is especially hard on those with health conditions, who live alone, who are vulnerable and those with young families.
"We ask that all members of the community who are fit, to please look after those who are not. You can do this by checking on your family members, close friends and neighbours.
"A quick trip to pick up their shopping or even a short phone call will do so much to help those who are in need and it will also help all of our volunteers who for safety reasons are limited in what they can do."
Local volunteers are working with Moray Food Plus, the Lossie 2-3 Group, local churches and other organisations to identify those in need of assistance and get them the help they need.
If you know of anyone who is in need of help or you need help yourself, you can reach volunteers in Lossiemouth through the Grampian Coronavirus Assistance Hub, which is co-ordinating with local groups and organisations.
The phone number is 0808 196 3384 or find out more online at www.gcah.org.uk
The community leaflet also includes a list of organisations and useful phone numbers, as well as local shops and businesses offering online and takeaway services.
