Nearly a decades worth of work has gone into undertaking a feasibility study which was followed by a successful community asset transfer application by Lossiemouth Skatepark Initiative.

Working with respresentatives of Moray Council along with local residents and organisations, efforts have been undertajen to secure the necessary funds and permissions that will allow construction to begin at Coulardbank Playing Fields.

Proposals submitted to planning officials in November have been signed off this week for the facility which will sit at the end of Church Street adjacent to Elgin Road and which will be floodlit.

Work will continue in the interim to fundraise for the construction phase.
