A LOSSIEMOUTH spa backed two local charities as one of 100 salons across the UK selected to host a Big Hair Do 2021 event this week.

Younger Day Spa, on the town's Queen Street, featured demonstrations, group workshops and consultations, as well nibbles and fizz, for customers on Wednesday, September 29.

The staff chose to support local charities Logan’s Fund and MFR Cash for Kids through various fundraisers on the night.

Guests enjoyed a fun learning experience as well as opportunities to pick up prizes, freebies and discounts.

The salon's first event since opening last year was held in partnership with Schwartzkopf Professional.

Owner Jacquelyn Young said: "Having only opened the same month as the pandemic began, we are so proud of what Younger Day Spa has achieved in the last year.

"This event is a great way to offer something exciting to the lovely and loyal community who have supported us along the way."

Younger Day Spa, which offers hairdressing, beauty, pamper days and physiotherapy, also has a studio which can be rented out for classes such as yoga, meditation and fitness or for children's parties.
