A LOCAL theatre club is set to bring its own pantomime version of Treasure Island to Moray this Christmas.
Buccanneer Theatre Club at RAF Lossiemouth will perform Ben Crocker's panto across five different days in December.
Producer and director Tracey Woods said: "Ben Crocker has been described as the wittiest and most original writer working in pantomime today.
"We are delighted to be bringing this swashbuckling show to Lossiemouth."
The show has everything you would expect to see in a panto, including a boisterous dame, colourful sets, singing, dancing, audience participation and, of course, pirates.
The pantomime has its roots in the original novel by Robert Louis Stevenson but, being panto, it is a fairly loose adaptation.
There will be many characters and situations that will not be found anywhere in the original.
The show will be performed at The Buccaneer Theatre at RAF Lossie on four dates between December 3 and December 10.
First up is a 2pm running on Saturday, December 3, before a 2pm showing the day after (Sunday 4).
The next weekend will see a Friday night show at 7pm, with two runnings on Saturday, December 10, at 2pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for under 16s. Payment will be taken in cash on the door, but tickets must be booked prior to the event.
