The car park, which has 210 spaces, was closed on October 16 for waterproofing, expansion joint and surface water drainage works.

It was due to be completed over a period of four weeks but the car park will now be reopened on Saturday, November 25.

The delay has been caused by recent poor weather.

Moray Council says the work is necessary to maintain the facility and that it needs to be carried out before more severe winter conditions begin.

Monthly permit holders who typically use the car park have been advised to park in the Hall Place car park which is located across from the multi-storey car park, for the duration of the closure.
