A MORAY venue will be filled with men's voices as a charity concert takes place in aid of Prostrate Cancer UK.

Spirituals, folk songs from Scotland and the USA and tunes from the stage and screen will form part of the programme as the 65-strong Glen Moray Male Voice Choir performs its Spring Concert.

The popular James Taylor number Fire and Rain will also be sung as part of the varied repertoire.

Soprano Lauren Crannis, who is a member of both ladies choir Cantare and Elgin Musical Theatre, will sing as a guest, while local musicians John Mustard, Colin Saddington, Fiona Gordon and Angus Burnie are also performing.

The choir, which is led by musical director Jane Ferguson with accompanist Isobel Burnie, was formed five years and has since raised more than £25,000 for a variety of good causes.

The Spring Concert takes place in St Giles Church, on Elgin's Plainstones, this Saturday at 7.30pm.

Tickets, priced £10 for adults and £8 for children (16 and under), are available from Cathedral Windows.

Performing under the baton of musical director Jane Ferguson is the Glen Moray Male Voice Choir.
