Man (23) charged for second incident of approaching woman in Forres

A 23-year-old man has been charged for a second incident of approaching and attempting to engage with a woman in Forres.

Yesterday, a man (23) was charged with approaching a 24-year-old woman on Pilmuir Road West at 10.25pm on Saturday, May 23.

Police, who were looking into the two incidents separately, have now charged the same man with trying to engage and make contact with a 21-year-old woman on Grantown Road at 10pm on Tuesday, May 12.

Constable Brian Donaldson, of Elgin Police Office, said: "I would like to thank the public for assisting us with our investigation.

"A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the man will appear in court at a later date."

The man will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court for the incident relating to Pilmuir Road West, and at Elgin Sheriff Court for the incident relating to Grantown Road.
