Man (23) in court following Aberlour break-in

A man has appeared in court following a break-in at an Aberlour business over the weekend.

The 23-year-old, who is from Aberdeen, offered no plea at Elgin Sheriff Court to a single charge of theft.

He was remanded in custody until Thursday, January 18, when he due to be brought back to the same venue.

The break-in happened at around 4pm on Sunday at S Cattanach Newsagent on the village's High Street.

The business was open as normal today.
