Police announced earlier on Thursday that a man had been arrested in the investigation into Kiesha's death, two weeks after the mother-of-two was found dead in the Anderson Drive area of Elgin.

A Police Scotland statement said: "A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Lucretia, known as Kiesha, Donaghy, in Elgin.

"He is expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court tomorrow (Friday, December 1). A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."

Kiesha Donaghy was found dead at her home on November 16. A thorough investigation has been ongoing for 12 days.

Senior police officer Detective Superintendent Lorna Ferguson, of Police Scotland's Major Investigation Team, said the force continues to support Kiesha's family, including her children.

DS Ferguson said: “We continue to support Kiesha’s family and our thoughts are with them.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience and continued support.”
