Man taken to hospital after crash at Highland Gliding Club

A 55-year-old man was taken to hospital after an aircraft crashed at the Highland Gliding Club in Birnie yesterday.

Police and the ambulance service were at the scene of the crash at Easterton Airfield, but thankfully the man only suffered minor injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4pm on Thursday, July 8, officers received a report of a crash involving a single-seater aircraft in the Birnie area, near Elgin.

"Emergency services attended and a 55-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
